I haven't used match.com (even though I put a profile on there years ago), but I know many women who have. For instance, an ex-girlfriend of mine used it to meet her current husband.

The site worked out well for her -- it did exactly what she wanted it to do. Her goal was to find a smart guy who made lots of money and was ready to start a family. So first, she searched for men living near her in San Leandro who had six-figure incomes, and she found six men who fit that criteria. After meeting these guys in person, she hit it off royally with one, moved in with him after a few months, and now two years later she's happily married to him and 8 months pregnant. She's not just happy, she's *deliriously* happy.

I'm curious, what brought you to match.com, as opposed to any other, similar site?

I've been on Match for about a year, and have had good results. I'm currently dating a lady I met there, and so far things are going well.

I have likewise found Tribe to be a good source of information and friends, not relationships. But, that's just my experience.
